La Paz - LATTE Professor Philip and Kathy Strackbein reside in La Paz since spring 2011.  Prof. Strackbein is teaching theological courses to seminary student Julio and 10 Bible institute students on-site. Previously, LATTE Professor Larry Retberg made 9 teaching trip since 2007.

Dourados - Evangelist Gilberto actively assists the pastor of Estrela de Belén in serving the congregation's needs with zeal.
Gravataí - Pastor Elcy serves the congregation, Jesus Salvador.
President Prudente - Pastor Roberto serves as a missionary, working with a small group.
LATTE Professor Nathan Wagenknecht serves as the WELS Friendly Counselor for the Brazilian Lutheran Church. He provides theological training for Evangelist Gilberto and offers continued education courses to Pastor Elcy and Pastor Roberto.

Medellín - There are two student pastors, Tonny and Henry, who serve the congregation in Medellín. They also teach a Bible Institute curriculum to about 12 men in their congregation and elsewhere.
Bogotá - Fernando, Fabio, and Eliseo serve as student pastors in Bogotá.
Occasional teaching trips are made to Colombia, but most of the teaching is done online with students in Medellín, Quibdo, and Santa Marta.

Santiago - Previously, LATTE Professor Philip and Kathy Strackbein resided in Santiago, teaching seminary students Alex and Juan. Alex pastors Cordero de Dios, in a small town outside Santiago called Moca and Juan leads the congregation, Soldados de Cristo, in the downtown area of Santiago. LATTE plans to continue the students' theological training through online education.  These pastors also teaching Bible Institute courses to Juan M, Nelson, and Eduardo.

León - LATTE Professor Larry and Marlene Schlomer along with LATTE Professor Nathan and Julie Wagenknecht reside in León, México to serve the Confessional Evangelical Lutheran Church's seminary and use this home base as a central location for teaching trips to other seminaries in Latin America when requested. Previously, the Mexican Seminary was located in Torreón. Due to security precautions, the seminary was relocated to León in April, 2010.
Puebla - Seminary student Gonzalo receives theological training by a LATTE Professor over the internet with Skype.  Gonzalo leads the congregation, Cristo Glorificado, part-time in Puebla while maintaining a full-time job.
Torreón -Seminary student Gerardo resides in Torréon to obtain hands-on experience with a mission congregation in Zaragoza del Sur and receive theological training from Pastor Esequiel who serves a neighboring congregation in Torreón.

Humacao - Seminary student Eligio is near completion of his seminary courses.  In 2010-11, he studies online via Skype with a LATTE professor.
At the WELS Synod Convention in July, 2011, the Confessional Evangelical Lutheran Church of Puerto Rico was formally recognized as an independent sister church in full fellowship with WELS.  Contact with this church will continue through the Commission on Inter-Church Relations (CICR).

Ministerial training continues to be done among the leaders and members in the various congregations throughout the Caribbean by LATTE.  Student Pastor Carlos C is teaching Bible Institute courses to Duhamel and Miguel.

LATTE Professors offer online education to their students over the Internet. The Professors are in the process of developing theological online courses for students to study in areas where LATTE isn't on-site and be able to participate in online discussions with classmates throughout Latin America. Much preparation is needed for each course, so in the meantime, some classes are taught to the students via Skype. Several online courses are already available and have been taught to Latin American students including a few in the USA.  In 2010-2011, fifteen students participated in an online course and a few studied over the Internet through Skype.
